Students at Sparsholt College are enjoying riding in our CFAP Saddle on the college's new mechanical horse, Charisma!
The horse named in honour of Sir Mark Todd's Olympic Gold medal-winning and much-loved competition horse uses state-of-the-art motion control technology and is one of only two in UK universities and colleges. Charisma not only gives students the unique opportunity to further expand their research in the growing field of rider performance but also the opportunity to 'ride' in one of our bespoke saddles.
With the capability to provide feedback on rein contact, balance in the saddle and leg contact Charisma plays a vital role in equine welfare through the improvement of rider skills, an area of particular expertise at UCS. This exciting new capability also features a 3D analysis system for biomechanics research.
A spokesperson for the Sparsholt Equine Centre commenting on our new relationship said "We are very excited to be working with Childeric saddles and having these perfectly balanced saddles specifically fitted to Charisma will enable riders to ride in complete comfort, maximising freedom of movement and further develop their balance in the saddle."
