Interview with Gemma Tattersall

We took five minutes with our Childèric ambassador and Olympic event rider Gemma Tattersall to find out more about her life/loves and top training tips..

Gemma-Tattersall.jpgIf you hadn’t been a rider which career path would you have taken?

Another form of sport probably, anything competitive!

Are you addicted to anything?

Which guests dead or alive would you invite to a dinner party?

Channing Tatum & David Attenborough

Best piece of advice that anyone has ever given you?

Don’t lose your temper with a horse. If you feel like you are going to then get off and take a break. Get back on if you need to later on but don’t ever get in to a battle in anger.

Best advice you have given or could give someone?

Never stop trying and remember there is always another day

Favourite meal and tipple?

Steak and red wine

If you could be invisible for the day what would you do?

Go somewhere I wouldn’t normally be allowed to go like a film set or Buckingham Palace!

What is your favourite programme and why?

Home & Away – sun, beaches and beautiful people!

Your favourite film and why?

I love the Fast & the Furious films – fast cars and the gorgeous Paul Walker

What’s your top training tip?

Always be consistent

Who do you most admire?

Michael Jung – he is the perfect competitior

Last equestrian item you bought?

A new bit – I love buying new bits!

What makes you cry?

Sad films

Who of what couldn't you live without?

My 2 special doggies, Tottie & Twizzle

Which horse (dead or alive) would you love to own and why?

I would love to own La Biosthetique Sam as he is just the most fabulous event horse. I might leave Michael as the jockey though as their partnership is too good to change!

Finally tell us what makes Childéric so special?

Childéric Saddles are not only incredibly beautiful to look at but also amazing to ride in, being both comfortable and supportive. They are also amazing in that they can be adapted to fit any horse and any rider. Event riders seem to come in different shapes and sizes and Childéric can be made to fit anyone!
