Young Horse Promise
Wanting to reduce the worry about investing in a saddle for your young horse (3-6yo)? We understand the concerns of such an investment but also realise that your horse will stand the best chance of a good start in their ridden career in a saddle that fits.
Our saddles – jump and dressage – are all adjustable and we would love to work with you and be involved in your young horse’s progress.
Buy a new bespoke saddle to fit the horse/pony and their rider, for £5,200 for a single flap/dressage or for £4,800 for a double flap.
This package includes all saddle checks by one of our specialists for the horse until they turn 7. You will be supplied with a Mattes correction pad when you purchase the saddle which we will use if the rebalancing is minor and considered short term. When the rebalancing is not possible with the pad we will refit the saddle, for which the cost is included as part of the promise, at our French atelier.

The Junior Promise and Young Horse Promise cannot be combined – the customer can decide which one gives the best advantage.
This is a great option for owners – for example – you may change the rider once you have had your horse produced to a certain level. We can therefore ensure that whichever rider you have bringing on your horse has a saddle that fits/suits them.

- This promise does not include repairs.
- This promise will include girth swap outs – Childeric only – if you purchase a girth with the saddle.
- At any time before the horse turns 7 you can exchange the saddle for a new one for 25% of the current list price plus the return of the original saddle. This replacement saddle will be basic model and not include any saddle extras even if they were on the original saddle (we quite often have to remove to resell).
- Double flap jump are a different price to single flap (jump) so if swapping up there will be a charge for the difference based on current price list at the time.

- Any of these options are ‘allowed’ but for saddle swap within the programme if required will be charged on top of the 25%
- Details to be taken at the time – name and date of birth of the horse with a photograph of passport attached to the order.
- Number of alterations and visits is limitless within reason, but only one saddle exchange which must be delivered and checked before the last day of the horses’ 6th year.
- The promise is not transferrable.
